In Charlotte, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across North Carolina, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Charlotte follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Calling Mitchell a "dentist" is a bit of a disservice. Being an age where old dental work is failing, I've had some old sketchy repairs and broken teeth to deal with. He looks at the problem, immediately knows the best way to fix it, and does it right, no pain, no problem. He's not your typical tooth puller and has saved a few teeth that I thought for sure would need implants. Credit where it's due, the guy's a pro.

Dr. Hume is """The Dentist's, Dentist!!!!""" He is attentive, engaging, supportive, knowledgeable, detail oriented, and a myriad of other qualities that make him stellar in his field. Why is he that way??? Because he has a staff that is second to none. I have been a patient for about 5 years now. Every time I have an appointment, I am always greeted with a smile, I have NEVER waited more than 5 minutes, and always put at ease that I am in good hands. You will not regret making Dr. M. Hume your dentist!!!!!!
